Dupoux Design

Dupoux Design is a full architectural and design firm. This is Cielo located in New York. Next time I am in town, I am checking this place out. Looks so cool. I've been needing a night of dancing and letting loose! Unfortunately it looks like this New Year's is going to be just another stay at home and do nothing kind of nights. But considering I am exhausted, I am not complaining. Maybe for my birthday in March, New York can be penciled in?

This is the NYLO Hotel in Warwick, Rhode Island. Reminds me a little bit of Palm Springs.

Christmas Greeting Cards

Christmas greeting cards are getting real cute out there. Not your grandma's old greeting cards! You still have time to send them out to your friends and family. In my search to find my Christmas cards, I came across these fabulous beauties!

I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Christmas Decorations

Our Christmas tree is complete! I am so excited about how it turned out. This is the first year I've had a real tree and I loved the whole process so we are definitely doing it again. Chris and I had so much fun picking it out and freezing our buns off at the tree lot. This is also the first year we incorporated black to our tree. Chris had his doubts as he thought it was too evil but he loves the end result!

Along witth he tree, our wreath is complete! These pictures don't do it justice! You loose the texture and the shine but it was really simple to make and quick.

I purchased the feathered wreath at West Elm (now sold out), and the shimmering accessories at Micheal's!

Enjoying the season! Make sure you do the same! ;)

Claudia + Harry Washington

Claudia + Harry Washington are 2 designers out of my parents home town San Salvador, El Salvador. They met while attending the University of Applied Arts in San Salvador for degrees in Interior Design. Due Estudio has designed commercial, residential spaces and furniture design. Check out their awesome home in El Salvador.

My parents always talk about how they would love to go back and purchase a home so that they may be close to their family. I love their style as it is contemporary yet true to its culture latina.

This is Qumbo a super cool shop that Due Estudio designed. Can't wait to go back to visit so that I may check out this shop!

Mandarine Chair

Mandarine Bench

My parents left El Salvador 27 years ago due to the civil war. My father and mother were very concerned for their safety and so the came to the United States. They left behind all their family and friends because they wanted to start a family and fleeing was the only option as my father was a lieutenant for the Salvadoran army. Our country suffered for so many years and so the fact that there are emerging designers and artists coming to the horizon brings a smile to my heart. We all can't wait to go back to visit, and I myself to take a look at what El Salvador has to offer in the design community.
Que nuestro pais prosperar.
