Kaufmann Desert House

With such great weather in California, I've been dreaming of architect Richard Neutra's  Kaufmann desert house in Palm Springs. I cannot wait to have our own little property where we can fully enjoy the sunny days. Barbeques and swimming days are only the beginning. Even though I don't think we would move to Palm Springs anytime soon, I definitely would take some of Richards architectural elements and make it our own.

Slim Aarons took many great shots here at the house. I love them all. So 60's. The photographs gives you only a glimpse of the great times held here.

Fashion desginer Derek Lam drew inspiration from the house for his spring 2012 collection using simple lines and muted tones with a punch of bright colors and earth tones.

Happy living.

Feminine Madrid Home

This Madrid home was lavishly done by interior decorator Maria de la Osa.
She used a soft palette of pastels mixed with bold animal prints on a blank white canvas. The feminine touches with world travel appeal. I love this look. It is very sophisticated and soothing. The furniture pieces are so classic in style but contemporary in color and pattern of the fabrics.

Beautiful Madrid home where I wouldn't mind living. Europe could be a place I can see myself living!

Happy living!

Rose Gold/Copper finishes are everywhere and I am loving it. I love the way rose gold looks when you mix gold and white with it. It is interesting how things return. My mom used to have this white gold, gold and rose gold necklace and I didn't like it at the time because I thought rose gold was not in. Ha was I wrong. Everything has its place and time. How we often look back to the past for new inspiration.

Are you feeling the rose gold trend?

Abigail Ahern

I am loving Abigail Ahern's work! The muted tones with her play of color and drama. Totally moody but in a positive way. Abigail is based out of London but is sought after worldwide. Her work has been featured in books, magazines, and TV shows! Super cool looks which I am drawing inspiration from.

Happy inspirations

Anqi South Coast Plaza

Happy Chinese New Year. Yay for the year of the Dragon. This is the year to bear children so if you are planning on having kids, this is it! I found out that I was born on the year of the Tiger. What animal are you?

Celebrate at Anqi Gourmet Bistro located inside Bloomingdale's at South Coast Plaza is stunning. I went there with a few great gals this weekend and it was just delicious and beautiful. The space is completely modular so you can host all kinds of different soirees here.

This was a shot from a fashion show hosted at Anqi. Fabulous.

Now what did we enjoy...

piquillo peppers, broccolini, young potatoes, shitake mushrooms, golden curry butter

banana caramel, vanilla bean ice cream

MMMM. It was very yummy. I love food. Happy eating.

Happy Monday! It's been a rainy and sicky kind of weekend for me. I usually always get sick right around now but this time I was prepared and lucky as it started late Thursday night. I slept in all weekend to gain my strength and my health back! We will see if it helped. Any who, I am completely inspired by studs lately. I see it everywhere and I want everything from shoes, jewelry, home accessories to this beautiful salon chair from Lee Broom. Gorgeous.

Stay studded.

Fixtures Living, Costa Mesa

If you live in southern California, you should definitely make a trip to SoCo in Costa Mesa where there are some great showrooms. This one in particular is my favorite. Fixtures Living is a well displayed showroom of kitchen, bath, and outdoor fixtures. Beautifully showcased, how great is this leopard mosaic wall? Talk about bold!

There are a ton of different selections, something for everyone! Now I am not big on "bling" but I definitely was impressed by this basin sink which was super decked out!!!

In case you want that Vegas feel to your bath, this is the perfect selection.

I got so many great ideas and inspiration for my own kitchen, hopefully sooner rather than later, but gorgeous.

This picture of the black and chrome stove does not do it justice but I love the brass finish, the lines, the feel!

Take a moment to enjoy the beautiful things in life.
